Crystal oscillator from Link Microtek

Link Microtek has expanded its range of MtronPTI frequency control products with the addition of the XO5120 series oven controlled crystal oscillator (OCXO), which delivers high stability and excellent phase noise performance over a wide range of operating temperatures. The new device achieves a stability of +/-2ppb over commercial temperatures and +/-3ppb over industrial temperatures, while phase noise is specified as -155dBc/Hz for a 10kHz offset at a nominal frequency of 10MHz.

1.5 to 3.8 GHz Active Upconverting Mixer from Linear Technology

A high dynamic range active upconverting mixer from Linear Technology replaces the best of today's passive mixers. The LT5579's wide frequency range of 1.5GHz to 3.8GHz covers the 1.9GHz cellular bands as well as the 2.6GHz and 3.5GHz WiMAX frequency bands. At 2.14GHz, the device offers 27.3dBm Output IP3 linearity and 9.9dB Noise Figure to deliver outstanding transmitter dynamic range. Moreover, the mixer has 2.6dB of conversion gain, the highest in its class. The device integrates Local Oscillator (LO) buffers, requiring only -1dBm to drive the LO port, while offering low -35dBm LO-to-RF leakage.

Temperature-compensated crystal oscillators are down in size but not in performance

Just announced by Vectron International is a temperature-compensated crystal oscillator in a package just half the size of its predecessor. The VTM3 TCXO offers equivalent phase noise performance to the proven VTC4 and VTC1 TCXOs but in a smaller package measuring just 3.2mm x 2.5mm.

Full-featured real time clocks are industry’s most accurate says Intersil

Intersil has introduced the world's first full-featured, AC-driven Real Time Clock (RTC) devices. The new ICs will be designed into a wide range of industrial and consumer products, from power meters and security devices to white goods and other high-end appliances that require precise measurement of time. With integrated functionality such as dual alarms, event detection and a "brownout" alert, the new ISL12030 and ISL12032 have the broadest feature set of any RTCs on the market.
